BRATTLEBORO, OCTOBER 14, 2019 — We are pleased to announce an exciting and innovative Emergency
Medical Services (“EMS”) project for the region. The two-year pilot research project, Point-of-Care Ultrasound
(“PoCUS”,) is being conducted by Rescue Inc. of Brattleboro and Townshend, VT and is funded by The
Emergency Medical Services Fund, Inc. of Dover, VT (“The EMS Fund.”) The PoCUS project, in conjunction
with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and the University of Vermont Medical Center, will for the first time
bring state-of-the-art ultrasound technology directly to the homes and accident scenes in our region.
